Introducing Marqeta’s New, Mobile-Friendly, Documentation Experience

Today, we’re proud to announce the public release of our new Marqeta Docs site, ensuring developers have an even smoother experience navigating our open APIs.

In 2014 we were the first issuer-processor to publish our platform as an open API. Since then, developers have pushed the capabilities of our API platform in new and exciting ways. We’re constantly amazed by the experiences developers have been able to create using our platform, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.

As we roll out new products and features, we want to make sure that we’re continuing to invest heavily in the developer experience. This core goal has directly informed the launch of our brand new API documentation experience. This new experience is easier to read, loads faster, and allows us to write and publish documentation at a much larger scale, so developers always have the information they need at their fingertips.

Here are a few improvements:

Clean new look

The new documentation site features cleaner design and typography that enhances the reading experience. Improved navigation controls and streamlined layout make it easier to find what you’re looking for.

Mobile Friendly

Your own apps are built for mobile. So are we. You can now comfortably navigate and read our documentation on your phone — and it looks great.

Read Code Your Way

We have improved our code samples to make them more seamless to work with. Now you can copy the code samples to your clipboard with one click. You can also view code samples in dark mode. Long samples are collapsed by default — no more endless scrolling when you are following a tutorial.

Most importantly: we want to hear from you.

We have incorporated multiple points into the new site where you can leave feedback. You will see “is this helpful?” messages in-line as well as see a feedback form at the bottom of every page.
